Custom shelf for a Eurovan Camper
BackAs a former Westfalia Vanagon Camper owner, I miss the handy shelf that the Westy had above the sink area.
I decided to re-create this in my 2000 Eurovan.
Note: I have removed the top folding bunk since I don't sleep up there -- if you have the bunk
then you'd need to do something different. Since the folding bunk was removed it left some screw holes -- I was able to re-use the existing holes -- no new holes were drilled during this install.

Parts & Tools
- nice quality 1"x4" wood, 6 feet
- (optional) some sort of molding
- foam rubber weatherstripping (the small size) - this goes between the wood and the shelf it sits on.
- saw, screwdriver, screws
Notes
- this installation was done after removing the top folding bunk (since I don't use it). You could probably do a shorter version of this with the folding bunk in place?
- you may be able to re-use existing screw holes if you are careful
- you may be tempted to use wood that is wider than 4" -- this will block the left grab handle making it hard to close the pop top roof.
