Sahara Dance Tent 2006-2009

Xochi Media have been the resident visual artists in the Sahara dance tent - the largest of Coachella's three tented stages, and the second largest stage in the critically-acclaimed festival. Our work prominently displays planned and improvisational VJ performers situated at the controls of an incredible visual computron, sending multiple feeds to multiple LED screens flanking the stage with projectors throughout the tent, with eight Mac laptops feeding thousands of themed video clips and six live cameras through custom video blenders. Weeks and months are spent coordinating all the tent's guest VJs and headlining visual artists. Some acts request our artistic spirit and some have particular requests - only cameras, only vjs, only their logo - but each is treated with a singular uniqueness designed to compliment the entire performance day.
